Sort Lines

The TextScore Sort Lines tool rearranges lists alphabetically, in reverse order, randomly, or by line length without exporting your text.

How to use it

  1. Open the matching TextTools tab from the CTA at the bottom of this page.
  2. Paste or type the text you want to work on into the shared editor.
  3. Apply the tool-specific controls described on this page.
  4. Copy the result or continue editing in the same browser session.

Use cases

SEO teams use Sort Lines to alphabetize keyword lists before deduplication and cleanup.

Researchers use reverse and by-length sorting to review survey answers or pasted inventories in new orders.

Facilitators use shuffle mode when they need a quick random order for prompts, discussion topics, or review queues.

How it works

The TextScore Sort Lines tool splits the editor value on line breaks, applies the chosen sort mode in memory, and writes the reordered lines back into the editor without leaving the browser.
